A webinar took place on Friday 5 May for those interested in the New Dance Company Call for Proposals.
As part of our new dance policy, ‘Advancing Dance 2022-2025’, which launched in October last year, the Arts Council has allocated the financial resources for a competitive open call to establish an independent flagship dance company: one which is committed
to commissioning, dance production across all scales, the employment of dancers, as well as national, North/ South and international touring and building audiences for dance.
The webinar followed the publication of FEI (Festival and Events International)’s report of its research into the feasibility of the new company, and of the Arts Council’s guidelines for potential applicants. The FEI team gave an overview of their findings,
and the Arts Council team outlined the guidelines and process for applying.
