Updates
Stage 1 of the Implementation Plan is well underway, and almost all of the 20 projects have completed the planning phase. During the planning phase, each project lead created a project charter which looked at the goal of the project (from the published
Implementation Plan) and then defined the scope and deliverables along with the project team.
The first half of 2024 will see the rest of the Stage 1 projects commencing, with various research pieces and evaluations getting started. See the

We were recently awarded the Silver Award from Investors in Diversity (IiD). IiD assessed and measured the Arts Council on our workplace
Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity Inclusion and Engagement, and then provided a framework and action plan that will feed into the work we are doing as part of our implementation plan.
What’s coming in 2024?
At the end of January, the Arts Council will be on tour! We’ll be hosting a series of Meet the Arts Council events that are open to the public. We encourage anyone who is curious about the Arts Council, what we do, and what funding opportunities we have,
to join us.
Here are the dates and locations:
- Visual, Carlow – 19 January
- Online – 22 January
- Triskel, Cork – 25 January
- The Model, Sligo – 30 January
- The Complex, Dublin – 2 February
We also have some EDI research publications coming throughout the year, so make sure you’re subscribed to the Arts Council newsletter for updates on when they come out.
