Launched in 2020, this is a 4-week residency (June 1 – 30, 2024) in a small, coastal Japanese town in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The Hayama Artist Residency application is open to any visual artist over 21 years old, working in any medium – based anywhere in the world. The residency offers a roundtrip flight to Japan, shared accommodations with one other artist-in-residence, and a weekly allotment of $200 USD each for meals and local transportation.
