4th Annual Midwest Juried Art Exhibit

The Hamilton County Artists’ Association (HCAA) seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, March 7-30, 2025 at the HCAA Art Center and Birdie Gallery in Noblesville, IN. $1000 Best of Show. Juror: Amy MacLennan, Curator at the Swope Art Museum. This fine art competition is open to artists 18 years and older who are residents of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin. All work must be original, created, and produced by the artist within the last two years. Accepted mediums include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, charcoal, pencil, ink, and mixed media. No digital art of any kind (this includes photography, digital painting, digital enhancements, or using a computer in any way to produce the art). No work that has won any awards at any other juried competition, contest, or exhibit. $30 non-members, $15 members. Deadline: January 31, 2025. More info (PDF). Spirit of Spring

artCentral seeks entries for a juried exhibition, March 28 – May 10, 2025 at the Hyde House in Carthage, Missouri. $2600 in awards. Juror: Kim Powell. Original works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastels, pencils, charcoal, pen and ink, scratchboard, printmaking, mixed media, or a mixture of any of the above media are acceptable. No AI images or photography. Works previously exhibited at artCentral are not eligible. Works must be matted, framed, and wired for hanging; no clip frames. Maximum size of the outside frame: 40 x 40 inches. Please use discretion regarding subject matter (no nudes). The dominant theme must be flowering plants (with or without people or animals) in the landscape/cityscape/seascape or portrait. $35 for 5 entries. Deadline: February 1, 2025. More info. 31st Annual Juried Art Exhibition

Art Barn School of Art’s 31st Annual Juried Art Exhibition, runs April 4 – June 5, 2025 in Valparaiso, IN. Purchase and merit awards totaling $5,000. Jurors: Betty Carr, Sarah Rehmer, and Amy Palatnick. Open to artists 18 years of age and up, living in the U.S. All entries must be of original design and personal execution. 2-Dimensional Media may include, but not limited to: drawing, fiber, mixed media, painting, pastels, photography and/or printmaking. Ceramic Arts Media must be primarily composed of ceramic, and may be functional or non-functional. Only single pieces of artwork accepted (no sets). $40 entry fee. Deadline: February 26, 2025. Opportunities for Artists’ Residencies and Fellowships

21st Juried Regional Exhibition

Freeport Art Museum in Freeport, IL announces a call to artists for their annual Regional Juried Exhibition (RJE), May 10 – July 19, 2025. As FAM has gained a distinguished reputation for displaying a wide range of contemporary art, this exhibition has become a visitor’s favorite. Each year, FAM invites a new juror to select approximately 50 artworks for inclusion, and to give awards: $300 for first place, $200 for second place, $100 for third place and honorable mention. Juror for 2025: Rodrick Whetstone. This annual competition is open to artists living in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, offering established and emerging artists the opportunity to debut work created in the last two years. $45 to submit up to 4 images ($35 for museum members). Artists may submit up to 3 original works created with fiber and/or utilize traditional fiber art techniques within the last 3 years, and not previously exhibited at the Northville Art House.
