The City of Brighton, Colorado is seeking sculpture submissions for its 2027 Sculpture on Loan program, which will run from January 2027 to January 2028 in the Carmichael Park Sculpture Walk. Accepted artists will receive a $1000 honorarium per sculpture, and the artist who wins the People’s Choice Award will receive an additional $1000 at the end of the installation period. The sculptures will be installed outside and exposed to the elements, including harsh sun, high winds, wide fluctuations in temperatures, and moisture. To ensure the longevity of the pieces, we unfortunately cannot accept pieces that are made from wood, plastics, bioplastics, or some mosaics. The sculpture should be safe for interaction with the public, especially children.
